My name is Ayat, and I am a certified labor and postpartum doula, as well as a certified lactation support educator. I received my training and credentials through MaternityWise and DONA, equipping me with both the knowledge and hands-on experience to support families through pregnancy, birth, and beyond. I am also a mother of five, with children ranging in age from 17 to 4. Motherhood has been the center of my life for many years, and caring for others has always come naturally to me. As my children grew and began their own journeys outside the home, I found myself reflecting deeply on my purpose. I knew I wanted to pursue something meaningful—something that would allow me to continue making a difference in the lives of others. One moment that stayed with me was when my daughter once asked, “Mama, will you be there for me when I have a baby, like in the shows?” Without hesitation, I answered, “Of course.” In that instant, I realized not only my desire to support her, but my calling to support all women. I wanted to care for others in the ways I once longed for, ways that ensure they feel heard, informed, respected, and truly supported during one of the most vulnerable times in their lives. That moment solidified my path and became the foundation of my work. Through my own experiences, I have developed a deep understanding of the emotional and physical journey of labor and postpartum. I have experienced vaginal births, an emergency cesarean, and a planned cesarean, as well as NICU stays and the challenges of recovering from surgery without adequate support. These experiences allow me to genuinely connect with both first-time and experienced mothers on a deeply personal level. I also bring experience in supporting families with multiple children, including caring for children on the autism spectrum. I understand the importance of balance, patience, and individualized care within each unique family dynamic. My love language is acts of service and words of affirmation, which naturally shape the way I support my clients. I find true joy in nurturing, encouraging, and standing beside families as they welcome new life into the world. It is an honor to provide compassionate, respectful, and empowering care during such a transformative time.
